About Danielle
Danielle Bailey is a unique professional who blends the roles of a board-certified massage therapist (BCTMB), clinical chaplain, advanced certified grief specialist, and licensed and ordained minister. Her diverse background led her to establish Mercy Massage Ministry in 2014, where she serves as the founder and owner.
Danielle discovered her love and passion for massage therapy in 2002. She attended the Tri-City School of Massage in Kennewick, WA., completing over 500 hours of training. She has continued her education in courses in aroma therapy, deep vein thrombosis, sciatic nerve pain, fibromyalgia, HIV/AIDS awareness and training, trigger point therapy, human biology, and Burn Scar Massage.
Danielle's passion for bodywork extends beyond her practice. She became a hospice volunteer, providing Gentle Touch massage for hospice patients and respite and bereavement support for their families. As the first massage therapist to join Northbay Hospice and Bereavement, she played a pivotal role in writing and implementing guidelines and procedures to include massage therapy in their hospice program.
Danielle earned her A.S. in fire science and served five years as a reserve firefighter/EMT. She holds a California State Firefighter I Certification, a California EMT License, and a CPR certification.
Danielle completed a clinical chaplain residency at Kaiser Permanente through the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy (CPSP). She has accumulated over 2,000 hours of clinical experience and earned five units of Clinical Pastoral Education and Training (CPE/T). Danielle provided spiritual care to patients, their families, and hospital staff in times of grief, loss, crisis, and perplexity. She worked in various departments, including pre-surgery, acute care, the Emergency Department, Rehabilitation (KFRC), Palliative care, ICU, and NICU. She is certified in individual and group crisis intervention and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).
After completing her residency, Danielle worked as a Hospice Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator and obtained an advanced grief specialist certification. She provided spiritual care to hospice patients, their families, and hospice staff, and grief counseling for bereft hospice families.
Danielle is dedicated to continually expanding her knowledge and skills. She is currently (2024) pursuing certification in Traumatic Stress Studies through the Traumatic Research Foundation (TRF) to better understand and serve her clients who are "healing from traumatic experiences."
Danielle is highly dedicated to delivering exceptional services to her clients and community. Her ministerial services are available for weddings and funerals.
