What should I expect during my first massage therapy visit?

Upon arrival, you will be asked to complete a brief health questionnaire. Please arrive a few minutes early to fill out the paperwork. It is essential to list all health conditions and medications so your therapist can adapt the session to your specific needs. You and your therapist will review the health questionnaire to discuss your treatment goals.

 

Once on the massage table, make yourself comfortable. If your therapist wants you to adjust your position, they will either move you themselves or ask you to move. Otherwise, change your position anytime to make yourself more comfortable. Many people close their eyes and relax completely during a session; others prefer to talk. It is your massage, so do whatever feels natural to you. Please inform your therapist about pressure and overall comfort during your massage session, and do not hesitate to ask questions at any time.

Do I have to undress completely for my massage?

The massage modalities offered use oil on bare skin. For a full-body massage, most clients undress completely. However, leaving your underwear on is okay if that makes you more comfortable. Your therapist will always drape you professionally to ensure modesty. If you have any specific religious or cultural practices regarding undressing and modesty, please inform your therapist beforehandWe may need to shorten the duration of your massage to accommodate clients who have appointments after yours. You will still be charged for the entire session regardless of the shortened length. If you are over 15 minutes late, your massage appointment must be rescheduled. Payment for the missed service will be required before you can book a new appointment. If you are running late, please call or text us as soon as possible. .

What happens if I'm running lates 

We may need to shorten the duration of your massage to accommodate clients who have appointments after yours. You will still be charged for the entire session regardless of the shortened length. If you are over 15 minutes late, your massage appointment must be rescheduled. Payment for the missed service will be required before you can book a new appointment. If you are running late, please call or text us as soon as possible.

 

What if I need to cancel?

Cancellations and rescheduling require twenty-four hours' notice. Same-day cancellations will incur the full-service amount. If you do not call or show up for your appointment, you must pay the full-service amount and a  $95 nonrefundable deposit (which will go toward your next massage) before rebooking.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Cash, checks, FSA, and HSA cards are the accepted payment methods.

What is your gift certificate policy?

Gift certificates are nonrefundable, nontransferable, and have no cash value. They must be presented at the time of service and are non-redeemable after their expiration date. Your gift certificate cannot be split into multiple services. We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates.

Do you offer grief counseling sessions?

We do not offer any grief counseling services at this time. Please check back periodically for updates.
